Southend 24
In September last year, Love-Essex, working alongside our partner organisations, presented the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Southend. The main stage in Victoria Circus created a lively festival atmosphere with superb music and dynamic keynote speakers. We are delighted to report we received 47 responses to the Christian Gospel. We believe that’s only a beginning and there’s more to be done in this needy City.
So we’re going to be back in Victoria Circus in 2024, for a major all-day event on Saturday 14th September.
Anyone passing through Victoria Circus will not fail to miss a sea of orange banners, flags and gazebos, together with our partners’ displays. Our sound stage will provide a platform for top quality live music, creative presentations and the proclaiming of the Christian message.
Guests can also enjoy a range of supporting Christian exhibitors and our friendly counselling teams will be out on the streets. Look out for their distinctive orange T-shirts.

Join us at Southend Christian Fellowship, 600 Southchurch Road, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS1 2PT the first of our Love-Essex Sign-Up Sundays. The action starts at 10.30am. This is your perfect opportunity to find out about the Love-Essex vision and, specifically, its Southend 24 event this September.
If you’re not already part of this initiative, we’d love to invite you to join with us. We’re going to need stewards throughout the day. We’ll need strong hands to help us set up and pack down the Victoria Circus and Outpost sites. Join our Welcome, Youth or Ministry Teams. Engage with the vision.
